Patricia Haskey

Patricia studied fine art at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated with honours in1980.
Her work is held in the UK’s Parliamentary Art collection in the House of Lords, London, in the Head Office of Cadbury and in private collections worldwide.
In 2004, she was one of 12 artists chosen to represent art from the North West in an exhibition in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
In 2014 Patricia was shortlisted for the Artists & Illustrators magazine Artist of the year competition for her painting – ‘The Chemist–Kirkby Lonsdale’. The painting was exhibited in the magazine’s exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London in January 2015.
In the summer of 2016 she held a major solo exhibition at Brantwood, Coniston – the former home of John Ruskin.

The landscapes and landmarks of the North West provide the stimulus for much of Patricia's work. She is fascinated by the ever- changing characteristics of light – how it dissolves or sharpens detail and transforms colour, evoking mood and atmosphere.Using a variety of media, her paintings are an expression of her personal, intimate response to nature and the impression it leaves upon her.
